Queerstories 2020 – first four episodes

Aurelia St Clair recording her story

Today I am releasing the first four episodes of Queerstories 2020, my little pandemic podcast in which LGBTQI+ storytellers reflect on the weird, queer year that’s been.

These first four, with stories by Kerry Bashford, Holly Zwalf, Patrick Lenton, Aurelia St Clair, Enoch Mailangi, Nayuka and Witt Gorrie, Giselle Au-Nhien Nguyen and Farz Edraki – exemplify the unique queer perspective I was hoping for.

Some of these stories were recorded at the small, socially distanced Queerstories event I hosted at Giant Dwarf in July, but most were recorded at home, in bedrooms and lounge rooms, in sharehouses and at parents’ places, in bathrooms and cupboards and on the back deck.

The stories will be released in pairs for this series, grouped by theme, commencing with Pandemic, Family, Home and Grief. There are many more wonderful stories to come, so be sure to subscribe once you’ve listened to these, and if you love a particular episode, please share it, rate it, review it, tell your mum about it, pitch an article about it, send the author a love letter, whatever floats your boat.

Subscribe to the Queerstories podcast or listen to individual episodes below.

If you enjoy Queerstories, please consider supporting the project for as little as $1 per month on Patreon.
