Nell

Nell gives us a Blessing For One Who Is Exhausted, Hard On For Love, Artist’s Prayer, Yellow Glove and banter.

Nell’s practice traverses performance, sculpture, music, and painting. Small, intimate objects are just as probable as immersive installations. In creating her dramatic, idiosyncratic works Nell draws on an eclectic selection of material, ranging from the sacred to the popular. Her great love of Rock ‘n’ Roll and small joys manifest in artworks that are everyday meditations on what is means to stay familiar with the certainty of your own mortality.

Nell studied at Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney, The University of California, Los Angeles and École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. She has exhibited widely in Australia and been awarded residences in Beijing and Rome. Nell is represented by Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, Sydney and STATION, Melbourne and is a 2017 Carriageworks Studio Artist.
